Why a Vilas 1920s bungalow needs a different load plan than an East Wash four-square
The bungalows here were built off the 1920s Sears-and-Roebuck and Lustron catalog plans — small entry foyer, narrow stairs to a low half-story, kitchen at the back, basement door inside the back vestibule. Coats and snow boots in the entry, no clear straight line to the front door, and the modern king-size mattress simply does not turn the half-story stair. We bring the box-spring split and the mattress lay-flat, plan the dining-table-leaf removal in the truck, and load the back-bulkhead basement separately so the indoor route stays clear.
